The Picklr Scarsdale, an indoor pickleball facility at 1019 Central Park Ave. in Greenburgh, will hold a public grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 1:30 p.m., according to an announcement from Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The club first opened its doors to members on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Heather Rhyu and Noah Allen, both Westchester residents, own and operate the business. Rhyu currently owns four Club Pilates studios and a Rumble Boxing studio in Westchester. Allen brings more than 25 years of experience as a tennis professional and coach to the new venture.
The facility contains eight dedicated indoor pickleball courts, including one championship-sized court. It also features professional-grade playing surfaces, a pro shop, and space designated for private events. Feiner said both members and non-members are welcome at the club.
The grand opening event will include a live DJ, a food truck, raffle giveaways, and short open-play games. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet staff members, and learn about available memberships and upcoming programs.
The club offers activities for players of all experience levels, including open play, competitive matches, private lessons, instructional clinics, leagues, tournaments, and youth programs. It also hosts private events such as birthday parties and corporate team-building outings.
Rhyu stated that the owners are excited to bring the experience to Westchester, noting that she knows firsthand how much people value spaces that bring them together. Allen said their goal is to build a community where beginners feel comfortable trying the sport and experienced players can find competition.
The facility is located in the village of Greenburgh, though it markets itself under the Scarsdale name. The grand opening is scheduled for a Saturday afternoon to accommodate working families and players.
