Excelsior University and the PITC Institute have signed a partnership agreement that offers a 10% tuition discount to qualifying students. This arrangement is designed to help graduates of the technical college continue their education through Excelsior’s online degree programs, with a specific focus on nursing and health sciences.
The financial benefit extends beyond just the graduates. Eligible PITC Institute employees and their family members, including spouses, domestic partners, and children, can also take advantage of the reduced rates. This broadens the scope of the discount to include a wider network of professionals associated with the institute.
Students who qualify for the program will receive personalized assistance from an enrollment specialist. Excelsior has also created a dedicated webpage that provides detailed information on academic programs, transferring credits, and the enrollment process. Additionally, a tuition deferral option is available for students whose employers agree to repay some or all of their tuition costs.
David Schejbal, President of Excelsior University, stated that the partnership helps learners continue their healthcare education with greater flexibility. He noted that such collaborations allow higher education institutions to support lifelong learning while meeting the needs of an evolving workforce. The university offers online and hybrid programs designed to accommodate working adults, utilizing a rolling admissions calendar for schedule flexibility.
Shahid Ahmed, President of the PITC Institute, said the organization is committed to creating opportunities for its graduates. He described the partnership as an accessible pathway for PITC graduates to advance their education, expand professional opportunities, and grow within the nursing and healthcare professions. The agreement was announced on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
