Walt Z., a pizza delivery worker in Michigan, received more than $764,833 in donations as of November 2, 2026, following a viral video of an argument with a man who pranked him at his workplace. The GoFundMe campaign, created by Luke Oakenshield, aims to raise $900,000 to support Z. and his family.

The incident occurred at a CJ Schwan’s store. A man identified informally as a streamer approached Z. and asked for the time. After Z. answered, the man played an Apple Pay sound on his phone and claimed he had stolen $10 from the delivery worker. Z. told the man he was not in the mood for jokes, but the streamer continued, alleging he had taken another $20.

Z. eventually snapped, speaking into the streamer’s camera inside the store. “It’s not a joke to me. I don’t have time for this crap in my life. My life is hard enough as it is,” Z. said. He explained that his children had gone to bed without him and that he was supposed to be home an hour earlier.

Z. noted that he had to wake up at 5 a.m. to cover 10 more stores. He worried he might be kicked out of the store because of the disturbance. The streamer has since deactivated his social media accounts.

Oakenshield started the fundraiser after concerns arose that Z. might face work consequences. All donations go directly to Z. to help support his family and provide financial stability. Z. remained employed at the time of the update.

Z. shared a statement thanking supporters for their generosity and humor. “My wife and I have been reading your posts and comments, and we’ve gone from being deeply moved to laughing until we can barely breathe,” he wrote. He thanked his colleagues at CJ Schwan’s for their support.

Z. said he and his wife are trying to keep things normal for their children, noting that they did not sign up for an audience. “There’s no big announcement today. I just wanted you to know that you’ve given us more than help, you’ve given us reasons to smile during a difficult week,” Z. concluded.
