Nicholas Jerome Wennik, 33, of Womelsdorf, stands accused of harassing staff at a Taco Bell restaurant in North Cornwall Township. The incident occurred at the location on 2100 W. Cumberland Street. Lebanon County Regional Police dispatched officers to the site on Friday, Aug. 28, to address a harassment complaint.

Investigators concluded that Wennik harassed employees on multiple occasions. Police stated that during a prior incident, he threw a soft drink on the manager. They also determined that Wennik sent a sexually explicit image to a juvenile employee. Court records show he faces three third-degree felonies: unlawful contact with a minor, dissemination of explicit sexual materials to a minor, and criminal use of a communication facility.

The docket lists additional charges against Wennik. He faces two third-degree misdemeanor harassment counts for lewd communication and repeated communication. Two summary harassment counts for physical contact are also included in the filing. A criminal complaint was submitted on Thursday, Oct. 22. Magisterial District Judge John W. Ditzler set bail at $40,000 on Sunday, Nov. 1.

Wennik has been held in Lebanon County Prison since Nov. 1 after failing to post the monetary bail. A preliminary hearing for the Taco Bell case is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, before Judge Ditzler. All three of his pending cases remained active as of Monday, Nov. 2.

Two other criminal cases involve Wennik in the region. In Millcreek Township, Lebanon County, he faces a third-degree misdemeanor charge of false identification to a law enforcement officer from a Sept. 28 incident. That preliminary hearing is set for 8 a.m. on Nov. 12. In Towamencin Township, Montgomery County, he faces misdemeanor defiant trespass and summary public drunkenness charges from an Aug. 13 incident. A preliminary hearing for that case is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16.
