The New Jersey Devils revealed a new alternate jersey on Monday. The black and red Hometown Remix uniform marks a fresh visual identity for the 2026-27 season.

The design centers on a predominantly black background. Red accents appear in the lettering, numbers, and sleeve stripes. The team’s familiar NJ crest is displayed without its enclosing circle. This change highlights the logo’s horns and tail.

NHL officials describe the jersey as featuring sculpted sleeve stripes and custom typography. Embroidered detailing runs along the back of the garment. Inside the hem, outlines of New Jersey flank the state’s name.

The Hometown Remix collection includes specially designed alternates for all 32 NHL teams. Each design draws inspiration from local culture and fan identity. Fanatics, which became the league's on-ice uniform provider in 2024, developed the program. This is the first leaguewide special edition uniform initiative from the company.

Teams will wear these uniforms multiple times this season. The collection is scheduled to appear in 261 games across the league. Nineteen matchups will feature both teams in their new alternates. The Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, and San Jose Sharks debuted their versions on Monday night.

Fans can buy authentic and replica jerseys, matching apparel, and headwear starting Monday. Items are available through NHLShop.com, Fanatics.com, and participating team stores. The league did not specify when the Devils will first wear the new jerseys on the ice.
